Denmark's largest domestic fleet

Molslinjen A/S was founded in 1963 and today Molslinjen is the largest domestic ferry company in Denmark. With a fleet of 21 vessels Molslinjen links major population centers and connects several islands with the mainland. And with ØRESUNDSLINJEN and BORNHOLMSLINJEN, the fleet also extends to Sweden and Germany, respectively.

The fleet is split across 10 routes:

Molslinjen serves more than 15 million passengers anually.

In addition to the ferry routes, Molslinjen A/S owns KOMBARDO EXPRESSEN: A bus company which extends Denmark's floating bridges and transport travelers all the way to their end destination on 116 different bus routes and 26 cities throughout the country.

June 2024: Molslinjen breaks the record at DDA

Molslinjen A/S made history at Danish Digital Award 2024 with 5 x gold, 1 x bronze and the Jury's Special Prize. The categories are:

Best Personalised Marketing, Best use of AI, Best use of Data, Best in Innovative Use of Technology, Best in Digital Marketing, Best in Digital Business Development & the Jury's Special Prize.

April 2024: Molslinjen wins digital award

As the first Danish company ever, Molslinjen was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Franz Edelman Award.

"We were deeply honored just to be in the final - and to now stand here with the prize is, of course, absolutely fantastic," says Jesper Skovgaard, Molslinjen's Commercial Director, just after the thrilling final.

April 2024: Electric ferries are among this year's best sustainable cases

Molslinjen's project with electric ferries at ALSLINJEN and SAMSØLINJEN is recognized by the newspaper Børsen in 2024 as a Børsen Sustainable Case. The project is praised for contributing to pushing the green transition. The two electric ferries are an important part of Molslinjen's green transformation, and we are proud to be part of this year's sustainable cases.

The electric ferries are currently being built at CEMRE SHIPYARD in Turkey and will be ready to sail at ALSLINJEN by the end of 2024 and at SAMSØLINEN in the beginning of 2025.
