Molslinjen is Denmark’s largest domestic ferry operator, boasting an extensive fleet of 18 vessels that transport over 15 million passengers annually. With 10 routes operated under the brands Alslinjen, Bornholmslinjen, Fanølinjen, Langelandslinjen, Molslinjen, Samsølinjen, and Øresundslinjen, the company connects regions across Denmark as well as neighbouring Sweden and Germany.

Molslinjen is also recognized as one of the world’s largest high-speed ferry operators. The company deploys some of the largest catamaran ferries globally, particularly on the Bornholmslinjen and Molslinjen routes, enabling fast, reliable, and efficient maritime transport.

Molslinjen supports local
communities and serves as
floating bridges, connecting people and places with limited alternative modes of transport.

Beyond ferry services, Molslinjen operates the long-distance bus route, Kombardo Expressen, in collaboration with Herning Turist. In addition, Bornholm Expressen, operated in partnership with Vikingbus, offers direct connections between Copenhagen and destinations such as Rønne and a number of major cities across Jutland.

With a workforce of more than 1,608 employees, Molslinjen is currently undergoing a major green transition. Several of the world’s largest electric ferries are already in operation on the Øresund route, while electric ferries have also been introduced on the Fanølinjen and Samsølinjen – with plans to expand electrification to the Alslinjen in the near future. Through these initiatives, Molslinjen is actively contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and the advancement of sustainable maritime transport.
