All necessary steps must be taken to make ferry operations more sustainable. Therefore, Molslinjen A/S has installed shore power systems in several of the company's ports. This means that the ferries no longer need to run diesel-powered generators when docked overnight. Instead, the ferries' vital systems are maintained with sustainable electricity from the shore.

The shore power installations, established in collaboration with the ports, supports the reduction in emissions by 2030 and CO2 neutrality by 2050.

The transition to shore power in selected ports means that Molslinjen A/S saves 242,000 liters of oil annually. This corresponds to 646 tons of CO2 emissions.
